The State Theatre, Torch Literary Arts, and Texas Book Festival present a screening of the 2026 documentary 'Knife: The Attempted Murder of Salman Rushdie.' Directed by Alex Gibney, the film explores the 2022 attack on author Salman Rushdie and his subsequent recovery, incorporating never-before-seen footage shot by his wife, Rachel Eliza Griffiths. Attendees are invited to visit a pop-up bookshop in the lobby before the film and stay for a Q&A session with Griffiths after the screening.
