Singer-songwriter Olive Jones draws listeners into her world with poetic flair on complex subjects like mental health, relationships, and empathy. Her childhood by the coast in Dorset, steeped in jazz and soul from artists like Billie Holiday and Nina Simone, shaped her path from saxophone at age seven to writing original songs and touring with Bombay Bicycle Club. Assisted by producer James Wyatt, the album “For Mary” captures raw emotion across tracks exploring love, loss, and personal growth, reflecting her grassroots scene roots and commitment to authentic expression.
